Lucerne

Ever since friends of ours moved to Lucerne, Switzerland, we have been toying with spending longer there, and a five-day visit gave us a proper taste of the city plus a few did-you-know facts to pass on. We rode two gondolas up to the summit of Mount Pilatus, Lucerne’s home mountain at 2,128 meters, and followed an insider’s tip to Bannalp, where an alphorn made an appearance.
