Pangkor Laut

Our travel style leans far more budget than lux, but Pangkor Laut, a small island resort in Malaysia, was a splurge we had good reason for. After two and a half months of almost nothing but street food, the resort’s restaurants earned a story of their own, as did a jungle hike across the 120-hectare island and its beach-wandering creatures. The last day was kept free for eating, swimming, reading and saying goodbye to paradise.
