We toured the Owens Thomas House in Savannah expecting one of the city’s better historic house museum experiences and came away disappointed, the visit feeling rushed and the presentation of the property’s difficult history handled with less care than we had hoped for. Not every stop on a trip turns into a highlight, and this was one of the rare ones we would tell other travelers to consider skipping. We still filmed it, if only to remember why we felt that way.
