Rethymno from above reveals a harbor layout that is hard to fully appreciate at ground level, the old lighthouse and a former mosque sitting close enough together that both fit comfortably within the same aerial frame despite belonging to very different periods of the town’s history. We flew the drone along the waterfront, tracing the curve of the old harbor before the coastline opens up into the wider stretch of the town beyond it.
