We went back to the Falla Exposición specifically to watch this particular figure burn on the last day of Fallas 2021, having already seen it standing intact days earlier and wanting to witness the full arc from construction to ash. Watching a structure this detailed and carefully built go up in flame within minutes never stops feeling slightly conflicting, appreciation and loss arriving at almost the same moment as the fire spreads through it.
