Amsterdam

Our first real look at Amsterdam came on a rainy December walking tour, self-guided, past canals, cyclists and hidden courtyards. The other two stories are about where we slept in the Netherlands: a night of pure luxury at Hotel TwentySeven, in a grand 1916 building right on Dam Square, and the ultra-cool Volkshotel, a former newspaper building that doubles as co-working space, restaurant and rooftop sauna.
