Our single Mons story is about one building: Santiago Calatrava’s gigantic, wildly over-budget train station, dropped into a tiny city in Belgium. Having seen plenty of the architect’s work elsewhere, we found this his most puzzling creation yet, and the story tries to make sense of what it is doing there.
